Latched onto an interesting lid Name I've never heard.. "Albertino" ????? Interesting bound stingy.. I figured why not. :) Nice color and look. For the price, any old hat of good shape and felt would be one more old hat finding a place in the world again... -

I love the Fed IV!!
Considering very very strongly (finger on the trigger) on a Fed deluxe, except the version (IV or previous) isn't listed. Should I worry? I love the shape and the felt reviews of the IV.. and though the color is a wee bit too "Indy" for me, I can live with it as it's a deluxe (heritage) felt... -
Federation Deluxe IV Size
Size doesn't bug me.. Pretty confident the 7 3/8 - 59cm is the way to go. Trick is which fur grade do I want.. I'm guessing the Deluxe (heritage grade) is the one. -

Me too.. I'm in the hunt for that exact hat.. Color and block. Notice in this pic how little curve (smiley) there is in the brim.. It's straight across, worn with just a slight tilt. Excellent! What a great timeless hat I think. I don't know if there's a style name for that type of brim... -

I'm a fan of his facebook page.. He does some super nice work. Wouldn't mind having a Penmann. So he does the felting from raw fur to finished hat all the way then? Wow that's a lot of skills. -

The newb here is learning... Good stuff.. So I get the impression a great fur felt has very fine hairs, packed super dense and if so chosen, pounced to a super smooth hand.. Unless of course it was intended to be one of those "furry" hats. :) I think I posed the question a long time ago when... -

I'm in on the bidding. Should I win, I'll have fun explaining to the Mrs how I spent cash on a round piece of wood. I'd have to demonstrate I guess on the Dobbs I picked up a few weeks back that has a weird thing going on in the back of the crown. :) Curious.. Difference between a 51 vs 52 mold?- babs

A Kubrik fan! Pretty cool rendition of the old gang uniform there. I always wanted to do that one or the red 2001 space suit one year for Halloween. Both are distinguished and recognizeable, but the Clockwork Orange outfit is more so.- babs
