Ha! That made me chuckle!
In the town where I used to live, there is a large chav community. The quickest route to the bus stop is through M&S. It was always like a little haven entering there after enduring the abuse and stares from the town!
I'm just putting the finishing touches to my version and have noticed that the arm holes on mine are not too big as such- they're far too wide! When I wear the dress, the armhole is so far over that it doesn't cover the side of my bra!
Only on one side though, the other side is fine [huh]...
There's a whole thread on people who came through the "alternative" scene. I was one of those- hardcore emo at 17! ;)
I've had a couple of nice compliments lately- both when I've been with my 75 year old grandmother who is a very stylish dresser herself.
One, when we were at the local...
Maybe she was just a bit taken back? Sometimes I worry that I come off as rude when a stranger compliments me, just because I get caught off guard and don't know how to reply.
Sorry, I've only just noticed this!
It's an inflammation of the cartilidge in the rib cage and lasts around 12 weeks. I'm currently in week 3... Sigh. Still, at least I have lots of time to plan my next project!
I was so into sewing but then I got diagnosed with Tietze's syndrome and until it passes, it's just too painful to do any sewing :(
My pile of unstarted projects is just getting higher and higher!

Annie, you'll hate me for saying this, I know, but wait a few years and see what happens.
When I was your age, I was a 34B. A year later I was 36DD. Now I'm 36FF and wish I had my 15 year old body back! lol
You may well find your body changes over time. If it doesn't, then no big deal...
I'm exactly the same.
My figure hovers around 42 (36F)-30-42, so you can imagine how difficult it is to find clothes that fit my hips AND my waist AND my bust.
I'm struggling thinking what I'm going to wear when I start next year- regardless of whether the school is smart or casual!! Unfortunately, as I'm busty, almost everything I wear shows off clevage. Sigh.
What about something like this: (Hope this works)

Annie, if it's any consolation- I was also watching it. Was debating whether to Buy It Now or wait for bidding. Decided to Buy It Now... and it had already gone.
I totally feel your pain!
I got mumps five years ago.
It's not vintage as such, I know, but I thought it was pretty much a goner since the MMR jabs came into effect.
Apparantly though, my year was the last year to get only one jab as a baby, rather than two, and that weakened the effect. There was quite a bout of...
