    Vintage-Inspired clothing lines

I placed an order with ModeMerr over a month ago. The confirmation was received right away. I sent 2 email requests for order status and never got a reply. I finally just filed a resolution claim with paypal. ModeMerr refunded the full purchase price without explanation. I really want the...

    The Middy Thread

Hi Penny. I have waist length hair too and I have it cut in a what I think is a very long middy. Slight u shape to the back and very long light layers. I have a tiny bit of bangs that are to the end of my nose in length and then the shortest layer starts at about 3" below my chin. I get that...

Pros and cons of 'Bettie bangs'?

Pro - bangs grow fast (also a con if you really like the bettie bangs). The earlier posted links to the 40's & 50's bangs show you can still get a cute vintage look. What have you got to lose? I think we all go through this phase at least once.

    Vintage-Inspired clothing lines

Heartbreaker Fashion - yes, I have several items from them and I am happy with them. Easy care, most are hand washable and require little or no ironing. The A-line skirt isn't too light, I wear it all year round. Tights underneath make it a little warmer. The clothing is well made and holds...

    Vintage-Inspired clothing lines

ForthWorth Gal - you have great style and an eye for style. I never would have guessed that outfit to be new. Wonderful suggestions. I also remember reading advice from LadyDay in another thread. She said to look for classic clothes in shops where the old ladies shop. They have the basics...

    Silly Lipstick Question

I line and fill in the entire lip w/ liner and I think it makes a base/stain for the lipstick, put on lipstick and blot, blot, blot, and add another coat of lipstick. It has staying power through cocktails and kisses. As for the movie smooches, probably just that old movie magic. Honey for...

    Best primer for oily skin?

Oh no! Thank you Puzzicato for making think about this. I've looked up safe sunscreens and was horrified by the ingredients, don't know why I didn't do it before with the makeup products I use everyday on my skin. I'm off to the Enviromental Working Group site to get informed.

    Best primer for oily skin?

I like the feel of Philosphy's "the present". After using it for a little while, all I needed was that and a little powder. I don't think it has silicone in it.
