    Aero Steerhide

I have debating about getting Aero's LHB in either steerhide or horsehide. That A-2 steerhide looks really nice. It is also the difference of 50 or 60 pounds or over $100 USD.

    Yet another A2 size question

The only two off the rack A-2's I own are from USA. One 46T in goat and a 48R HH. The goat fits alot more trimmer than my 48. They are about the same length, but the 48 sleeves are much fuller. Not as full as my LW A-2HH or as slim as my Goodwear HH. It might be something with the goat and not...

    Help ! Fake Schott 689 horsehide ?!

MrMojo- Evert story has three sides: your side, his side and the truth. Why did you not try and contact Schott or Legendary USA as well? I understand maybe you felt like it was not your duty but I think after all that you could have tried. The other thing is how did you know he was posting all...

Wested Indy Jacket - Experienced Advice Please

I have a lamb skin that is going on 2 years old and a cow that is a little older. both are great jackets. the lamb is a little dressier and i usually wear it as such and the cow gets thrown in there between 3 A-2's and 2 G-1's. But you really should head over to CLUB OBIWAN. You will get more...

    US Authentic A-2 sizing

I do think that USA jackets run long. Or at least the A-2's do. I would have been better with a 48R. But they are very well made. Just remeber they have a generic design to them.

    US Authentic A-2 sizing

at 6 '2" with a 47 chest I have USA goat A-2 in a 46t. the sleeves are a little long, but the chest is good. that is the one thing about USA jackets; sleeve lenghth. If they are too long for you, just ask them to shorten them up. Shaul will do it for you.

    I want your flight jacket!

Well if I could add my 2 cents, I know that todays Navy pilots and aircrew prefer the older (early 90's) G-1's to the 2000+ models. They say the leather was better and that the fur collar was fur and not the plastic stuff they use today. I know this because I work with one and was attached to a...

    Liking it better

wtf- the goat feels like you could slide down the freeway in it and come away with a great story, but the jacket does not feel heavy; not like my LW HH A-2 or my cow Indy jacket. it is soft with some very nice grain and a deep choco color to it. i like it very much. the only problem is that it...

    Liking it better

whiskey tango fox, where is the over? i wanted to get hh usa but just couldn't; at the time; justify that kind of money, so i settled for a goat as my first A-2. USA jackets are very well made if not exact copies, but their web site i think states that they combine the best of all the styles. so...

    Liking it better

just putting it out there. each maker has thier own sizes and so they vary with each style and maker. it is totaly up to you. are you tall and big or just tall? i have a 47.5 chest and the 46t is a hair snug. but it is an A-2. The sleeves are plenty long though.

    Liking it better

if that 48t is to big in the chest I would be willing to let my 46T go if you are interested. it is only one year old and i only wore it a few times. reason being is that i have a lost worlds A-2 and 2 Indy jackets, cafe racer and a GW that should be here in the next few weeks. closet is...

    Liking it better

I have one of their goat A-2's for over a year and it is a tough jacket. I would not recomend getting USA jackets in tall size unless you really have long arms and torso. I am 189cm and my jacket is a 46t. I usually wear a 48r, but thought a 46 would give me a trimmer, military fit and i like my...

unTaLL A-2s the only way to go?

I feel you. I am 6'2 with a 48 chest and 38 waist. I do not think that a '40's era jacket would fit me. Even if I found an original that I liked, I could probably never fit into it. I do own a USA A-2 46T. It fits well but does seem a little long in the waist. I am waiting for an Aero 21996...

how many A-2s does it take to make an A-2 (not a joke)

Wow! Alot of valid points made. Repro-vs-Real. With so many different contracts and makers, each with thier own slight variations within, what is the difference between repro's and the real deal? Other than the age of the hide, I don't see it. I own an USA goat A-2. I like it alot. I am about to...

    Ordering Japanese Real McCoys...

i know this is slightly off topic, but since we are talking about jackets in Japan. There is a shop around the corner that sells Buzz Rickson jackets. They have A-1, A-2's and B-3's. the only problem is that they are to small for me. Most are a 38-44 size. He has a Buzz in an AERO pattern with...
