Awesome, a new leather Aero can use to make jackets that look just okay on someone if they are A. Christian Bale in The Machinist or B. John Candy in any movie... and horrible on any body-type in between.
I'm excited. Can't wait for a marked 34 with a 26" ptp and 22" shoulders that is still...
This thread begin back in September and it had been slow for a month then. We’re approaching the end of November, and besides a little blip of fluctuating speediness, its now back to operating painfully slowly.
Unless there’s some setting fix I’m unaware of, that’s 4 months, a third of a year...
I have a Lewis Leathers x Eat Dust type III in "gold" (rust) suede. Like the one below. Worn maybe 3 times. I'll check the measurements if you're interested.
Thanks!
I’m no tailor, but I think the pit-to-pit looks correct?
Regarding the length… is that measured from below the collar or is that including the collar?
I’m guessing you’re a pretty tall dude! I’m 5’ 11”, but all legs. Appears the chest and shoulders would fit me well, while the arms...
Exactly what I'm looking for... like exactly. But I can't move on it without measurements... Pit to pit? Shoulders? length? Sleeve length? Please let me know! Cheers
Heh, this zombie post appeared on my headers page. Bartender here, I’ll weigh in…
-A long history of vodka martinis dating back to nearly the (alleged) origin in 1911… I remember reading something about a wealthy person who’d lost a friend on the Titanic the following year in 1912, and they...
I wonder if I got the last pair made, then.
Now looking at a deerskin jacket by The Flathead, a rider jacket with stand collar. Anybody have experience with The Flathead's deerskin? Obviously not as rugged as horse, but pretty decent in terms of overall durability?..
Yes, I am just getting into some of the fit reviews now of the Flathead stuff. Appears it may be a bit tricky. I believe there is a store local to me with a jacket in my size… I’ll give it a shot. I was actually into that RMC J-100 as well. Very simple, and I don’t think too moto. It seems to...
I think I see what you guys mean by something simple and every day but a bit more fitted…
I’ve been looking at a Single Rider jacket or a 40s Single Sport jacket by The Flathead. Both patterns seem to be pretty simple and not too crazy… perhaps suitable for every day.
Thinking the best...
Oh no, now you guys have me questioning the pattern, lol…
I think its kind of chill, like an every day leather jacket for a guy who doesn’t want to be all “leather jacket guy”, you know?
Probably the wrong forum to get a lot of people behind that sentiment, ha ha.
I’m just not huge on the...
Does anybody here have one?
I like everything about this jacket… up to and including the embossed pattern on the horse hide.
However questions about how that embossing will age is what’s keeping me from pulling the trigger.
Can anybody tell me what to expect with regards to wear and patina...
I have two pair of Wescos, three pairs of Whites.
I’ve been lucky in that all the Wescos and Whites I own (with the exception of one) are perfect as defined within the parameters of what they are- heavy duty, no-frills, old-school work boots. Neither Wesco nor Whites promise boot perfection...
I reached out to Lofgren Co directly, but didn’t get a reply.
The dealer has been excellent throughout this process- they were able to get responses from Lofgren, and, in the current absence of a solution there, today offered a steep discount… or if I choose, to even take the boots back...
I hear you, and good points. Perfection is rarely possible.
Honestly, if it was just a scuff, scratch or leather that was mismatched by nature of a stain, coloring, shade or whatever, I’d probably be a little disappointed, but not overly so. Like you say, that stuff happens after a few months...
If you scroll through the specs for any given boot on Julian’s website, you will see that the last bullet point reads:
“Production of boots takes 3 to 5 weeks for completion plus 3 to 5 business days for delivery”.
Julian does do a few ready-made boots, but the vast majority are custom...
That’s awesome your issue was sorted.
Apparently things have changed in the last few years. Nobody at John Lofgren responded to my email. The dealer I bought from was able to get ahold of them… and apparently I’m out of luck.
The first response from someone at John Lofgren stated that the...
