Just picked up a Whippet for 41$. It's going to need some work, I'm going to have to stretch it to a 7 and give it a good cleaning but looks like a good deal for the money.

That's a Whippet the same way a 70's mustang II is to a 69 Shelby. An abuse of the name. Looks half a step above a target stingy. And yes I know that's my opinion.
Careful my friend I bet there are plenty of people with fond memories of the fabulous furry freak brothers, and then we'll get into one of those arguments about how bad the 60's were threads that pop up from time to time.:p
Go a little farther down in the article and if we didn't already know it, government stupidity is not restricted to any one era.
"I did, however, remember the U.S. government's controversial decision in the 1970s to spray Mexican marijuana fields with Paraquat, an herbicide. Its use was...
Boy I would love to have a few pairs of those high waisted buckleback jeans. Now those I would wear. There's a lot of clothes that people on this forum don't particularly care for that were quite common back then because of what they've come to represent today, and I include myself in this...
This look familiar? This one as you can see has the same labels and is positively dated to 1941. the picture of the jacket came out a little weird but you get the idea. interesting thing about this jacket is it's fully lined.
Naptha is a little dangerous to work with but very effective. Just make sure you use it in a well ventilated space away from any source of ignition and wear gloves and a proper ventilator. I guarantee that a naptha bath is going to kill anything living on the hat.
Have you tried brushing it with a hat brush. I believe it's counterclockwise as you look down at the hat. It sounds like the moisture raised the knapp on the felt. A good brushing should take care of it.
Those look like dust mites, if that's what they are you are literally crawling with them. Correct me if I'm wrong but don't they live off of dead skin cells?
Six Gray Homburgs! Wow. As you can tell I'm new here and I guess I have to get used to that people have hats for different reasons. I have hats just to wear but it seems a lot of people just have them just to have them. I'm not judging it's just wow six gray Homburgs, cool.
People don't know the difference in fit between dress pants and jeans. So guy X goes to target to buy a pair of "dress" pants he buys them in the same size as his jeans. He then proceeds to wear them at the hip like his jeans instead of the waist so they bunch up on his shoes.
Stetson Select Homburg I think I got a pretty good deal for 33$. It looks like it's in great condition. I think people must have been watching that Playboy that ended a minute before this. A Select makes this probably late 30's?
