Beetleything it is a comfortable 7 1/8 but as with all vintage hats you can not necessarily tell from the size tag. I wear between a 7 1/8 and 7 1/4 so I know there can be a great deal of variance. I can send you the circumference around the sweatband if you would like.

Vintage dark brown Cavanagh fedora in NM condition. 2 1/2" brim with "Cavanagh Edge" and a 5 1/2" open crown depth. The crown is wrapped in a 2" grosgrain ribbon. The trailing edges of the ribbon bow are unhemmed with a slightly frayed look which is a Cavanagh trademark. Nice clean...

Incidentally, Alan my dad was a bartender and I know what he would say about all this. He grew up in the depression, drove a car for Pretty Boy Floyd as a youth, was a Merchant Marine and half Cherokee Indian. He passed away along time ago but he wasn't about all this crap.
