    I was watching "The Suspicians of Mr. Whicher" the other night, a detective series set in 1860's London and was really admiring the policemen's hats: black top-hats with black leather trim and crown. Something very ominous but cool about them.

    My 3" brim is a lot of hat for a city boy like me. A 4" brim and you're into cowboy/sombrero territory.
