Looking to consolidate the collection a bit with some hats on my wish list. I have hats to trade 1/4, 3/8 etc. No brims under 2.5 please and sizes 7 3/8 to 7 1/2 Also, no "beaters", the hats should be good plus and better. Unusual colors and ribbons always appreciated.

That C&K was sold by JT who when he had a physical store here in St. Paul, would sell a hat like that for $50. Dang I really miss that store now. Congrats to the winner. Eric
Having just acquired a lovely Lavender not Stetson Stetson fedora, the vintage hat that goes to the top of my list is a peach Portis, sterling or better quality, in my hat size 7 3/8 or 1/2. I fear that this quest, though, is foolhardy, but hope springs eternal.

Always one hat short.
I've had good luck with water and woolite(or equivalent). I do them in a bowl with gentle hand agitation, no wringing or scrubbing. Usually does the trick. My one experiment with Oxyclean resulted in a half dissolved liner (rayon is a tricky material to clean)
