Well, I did a little search about Lesco, especially 'cause many times I find their jackets in almost every vintage store I visit. But nothing better than rescuing the post of @Gamma68 talking about their history.
On the way this Lesco I bought yesterday. Serval zippers. One half unstitched belt loop, easily fixable. Let's see what kind of leather is that, but my guess it's steerhide.
One extra inner pocket, interesting. This hide looks awesome! If this jacket was 20-21" p2p, I'd consider taking it.
And about the fraying tape on this Serval zip, it's very easy to fix.
GLWS!

It's a very masculine and cool leather jacket that Johnny Depp would wear, so if you're interested, we're waiting for you.
I have a Cal with #10 Talon zipper and Serval on the cuffs, another with Serval as main zip and Talon of cuffs, and other with all Talon (cuffs and pockets) but the big one was replaced by YKK :')
So, yes, yours is original. You can determine the period of making by the hardware, so I guess this...
Beautiful Cal. I saw that at my morning and made me recall one of mine. The same type of leather except for the lack of padding and epaulettes. It's like they were made one after the other on the same day.
In my early attempts to fix frayed zips, I used superglue. DON'T do it. The glue crystallize, no matter the quantity you put, and this makes the fibers break. And, as @ton312 says, the tape won't fit inside the slider.
I also added this repair of a Talon that may help you. Anyway, in your case...
Yesterday, I came across these pictures of a cool man riding in leather. No idea who he was, but the jacket was familiar to me. And that Indian... man, what a presence!
