I think it's a size 7 based on the measurements and the (L + W)/2 calculation. Have you stretched a hat from 7 to 71/8- 7 1/4 before with any luck? -

Hey Bill, thanks for the quick response. There is an awesome hat on ebay and the seller does not know anything about it. I think it may be either a 7 or 7 1/8 judging by the measurements that they gave. Am so tempted to get it so cheaply and try to stretch it. Dont want to ruin the leather band... -
