USAF N-3B parkas - Let's talk about them!!

Actually getting to wear the DJ MAN N-3B with our current temperature drop..perfect as a throw over parka which keeps me toasty whilst walking the dog. Worth the £50 I dropped on it. Works well too whilst static E.G sat drinking coffee outside Costas because they won’t let me in with a Dawg

Hi new here. Is wearing a leather jacket basically an invitation for trouble?

Only trouble you are likely to attract is if you add leather pants or a patched up cut. I’ve been wearing leather jackets on two wheels since the 1980’s and over that time have briefly shared the same airspace as outlaw clubs with never an issue. Did get asked once if I was a stockbroker...

    New (to me) Eastman Luftwaffe

I’ve had one of these jackets from ELC for many years in steer hide. It’s my longest owned leather and I won’t be parting with it. It has a Civvy vibe and can be dressed up or down depending on the occasion. Weight wise with that lining it’s a winter only wear here in Southern England.

Modified G-1: Patches vs No Patches vs Remove some Patches

I’d get rid of the patches or sell as is towards one without patches. I wear almost all my jackets ‘sterile’ just a personal thing but I don’t want to be adorned with anything I wasn’t a part of, current or vintage. My almost is that I do have patched MA-1’s, but the patches relate to motorcycle...

USAF N-3B parkas - Let's talk about them!!

Black civvy USA made Alpha N-3B arrived today, has better insulation than the recent ‘cosplay’ Alpha I acquired but not as warm as my DJ Man’ service issue version. Black Alpha should be fine for chilly UK weather but will need the DJ if it gets cold.

USAF N-3B parkas - Let's talk about them!!

I‘ve got 3 MA-1’s all USA made Civvy copies dating from 20 / 30 years ago. 2 Alpha that are robust (Vintage Series) with a decent amount of the polyfill type insulation. These jackets appear fairly regularly on eBay..often being touted as ‘originals’. Greenbrier version has thinner nylon and...
