    Well, the first one was a lovely dress and a beautiful fit, but I have sent it back because the colour was not at all flattering to me. The second one I adore. Very comfortable, and the fit notes on the site are absolutely spot on, which is nice.

    ... I saw a bloke today wearing a suit and trainers! he was walking into our building, didn't have a bag with him, so I assume he leaves his nice shoes in the office. It looked awful!

    I've gone flying in the Charing Cross station tunnel a few times in leather soles - unbelievably slick surface. There is a guy who works in my neighbourhood who wears those. They are odd. But he has a sort of menacing Ninja vibe going anyway, so it suits him.

    The only time I have seen that there was a lot of snow on the ground - men were changing into wellies or trainers. But those were pretty drastic circumstances (I also noted some excellent leather hiking boots and trousers tucked into long shooting stockings under the same circumstances).

    OK - thumbs up from me for the first episode of Torchwood - Miracle Day. Slight niggles: how many surgeons wear mini skirts and 4" heels to do their rounds? How many CIA agents wear 6" heels? Gwen's baby is about the most adorable thing ever.
