I've never heard anyone do a good Australian accent on screen either.
I watched The Lord of the Rings in German in a hotel in Switzerland and became absolutely intrigued by the dubbing - if I closed my eyes I couldn't distinguish between the characters. I think they only had 3 voice artists...
I love flammekuche! When I have made it I have used a pastry base rather than a yeast-raised dough like a pizza. I might have to make it this weekend again - it'd make my husband happy!
The curry sauce is foul, but chips & vinegar and /or gravy is lovely. And if it is onion vinegar so much the better!
I am also happy to eat chips with mayo in the Belgian fashion, or with ketchup.
Likewise.
I seldom set my hair but when I do it doesn't take as long as blowdrying + GHDing does when I (also seldom) straighten it!
The only thing that takes me a long time is getting into my spanx.
I tend to plan what I am going to wear in the 10 minutes afforded to me by the snooze button.
Every day - wedding ring (which most people assume is an engagement ring - pale blue sapphire solitaire), watch. Most days earrings. More often than not some form of bracelet, necklace or brooch, sometimes a couple of other rings.
I have taken this week off for a bit of a sanity break, and I am having a wonderful time NOT watching the news.
My husband started a new job, after 3 months out of work, and it is close enough to home that he can come home every night. Things are looking up in our neck of the woods!
Thanks for the pickled jalapeno idea, MissLaurieMarie! We had SEVERAL bloody marias over the weekend, and the pickled jalapeno garnish absolutely made them!
I work for a charity, and for the first 18 months of this financial crisis/depression/whatever we didn't really see an increase in client numbers. The clients we had couldn't get further down! Now we are starting to see the impact of people losing jobs & homes, and the government cutting welfare...
I've toyed with joining the University Women's Club, but I live close enough to London not to need somewhere to stop for the night, and I don't really need the other facilities. I just like the idea!
I love it. It's also very special to my husband, because when his father died last year he took season 1 on DVD to his mum's house, and it pretty much saved her when she was utterly bewildered and bereft.
Looking forward to the next season!
I've read the first two Nicky Heat tie-in books too...
From my beloved Everyday Fashions of the Fifties - huaraches were being worn in the early 1950s. I think I am going to have to get the 30s and 40s editions of the book to broaden my horizons!
