About pocket placement...
If you decide on pockets... the higher placement looks more "Ike"-like.. the slightly lower looks more like a typical motorcycle jacket, The lower ones are a little easier to deal with if you want a jacket for riding...
Worn out several pairs...
fit seems to be the same.
Never noticed much shrinkage with these- maybe 5%.
As far as comparison to '50's and '60's denim- the new 13MWZ are spun on the same types of looms as all the other manufacturers in the US- you aren't going to find any selvage-edged...
