What old fashioned traditions do you have for Christmas???

We put up the "festivus pole" and share our grievances. Not really, the decorations go up the weekend after Thanksgiving. I feel Thanksgiving is really that Thursday through Sunday. Give us time to enjoy it people, geesh. I'm gonna put lights up outside this year, however they are the LED...

    Fort Wayne, Ind. 1930

I work in the Lincoln Building in the Harrison St. picture. It's been added on but the original structure is still there. Its a nice building and Powers hamburgers is still there with great sliders. However the onion might be a little too strong for some of your fellow co-workers.

What cigar (or pipe) did you smoke today?

Same thing I always grab, my old Dr. Grabow I've had since 17, and whats left of my tobacco mix from the local place. It's getting a little bitey tho, but meh, still tastes good.

Vintage Things That Have Disappeared In Your Lifetime?

Hopefully mincemeat pie..blech! I think only people my grandparents age (mid 80s +) like em lol. Beef does not belong in a pie, unless it be pot pie. Oh, and I guess card indexes at the library. Hell, with computers libraries might be a thing of the past shortly.

    This generation of kids...

They did. They were called communes and they sucked. Hippies are too lazy to make anything happen. Let them make the music and art and leave the real work for the rest of us.

Article: Why do People Hate Hipsters

Agreed. I find enjoyment in actually doing things in life. Where others see work, I see pride in a job well done. I guess that's where I'm more vintage. No, I don't dress like many around here. I don't use an antique stove everyday (although if my wife would let me I would), but I do live...

Article: Why do People Hate Hipsters

Good point Lizzie. I know my opinion is purely subjective, but I find most stuff from the early 20th century timeless. I've never bought an antique to tell modern society I'm not gonna conform lol. Fact is, if the same quality, and craftsmanship went into new products, I would just as gladly...

Article: Why do People Hate Hipsters

I don't do things for any other reason than I like it. I dunno, I thought others were the same way here.

    Hey, what ever happened to....

Heck, if I take too long tying my shoes and stand up quick I get all dizzy and starry vision. I'm 6'3 tho, so it might take a little longer to reach my head. I had tunnel vision when I rode the millennium force at Cedar Point. That was interesting. When I donate plasma I usually have low...

Vintage Car Thread - Discussion and Parts Requests

I've got a 70 chevelle, 73 delta 88, and want a 50's car hardcore. The delta was my grandparents car and is my baby. I beat the crap out of it in high school and first part of college. She's sleeping in the parents pole barn now awaiting a restoration. I've got a 425 to build for it that...
