    Favorite Non Red Lipstick Shades

I have one I love that is a coralish pink matte one from Boots no 7. The shade is Tranquil Rose and what;'s good is that it either looks more coral or more pink depending on the shade I'm wearing it with. Here's a photo!

    Why are wrinkles undesireable?

While I'm not scared of a few wrinkles, I do hope I have inherited my mum's skin - she spent years, decades even, going abroad to hot sunny places (my grandad was a travel agent and she worked for him for 15 years, going everywhere, and has had the bug ever since too) and never used the...

    What are you wearing today??

Thanks lovely! Of course you can! The girl who's modelled these blouses is very petite (you can only see two buttons on her as opposed to four one me!) and I think she looks fab!

    Fedora Lounge Rat pack

My favourite part of building Ikea furniture is when you think you're one screw short, then finish it anyway and when you take the boxes out to the bins the last screw falls out on the floor... curses! Sorry, :offtopic: ;)

    Fedora Lounge Rat pack

What about the Fedora Lounge Flat Pack - I have four giant boxes of Ikea's finest in the front room and have no time to actually build the damn furniture. Sorry, that's not very vintage though, is it? :eusa_doh: :p

    Vanishing cream and cold cream?

Not the same - I believe Vanishing Cream is so called as it vanishes into the skin as it moisturises, whereas cold cream sits on top of it and cleanses!

Is there a name for this look?

My fried Liz has a set like this - I spent ages trying to capture a good shot of her dancing in it!

This is amazing Inky! Way better than mine! :D I'm so so glad you are making use of my tutorial! Lolita: I already told you twice how amazing you are, you're going to get annoyed with me soon, but... you're amazing! And C-Dot - you look fabulous! And more than a little like Joan Holloway...

Does vintage make you look.... *older*?

There is one person who has made several observations to me about how my 40s look makes me look older - my best friend's soon-to-be-mother-in-law. She never comes out and says it but she makes comments like 'are you sure you're the same age (as the best friend)?' and when I wore 60s at a recent...

I put a little ad box on my blog a couple of months ago and it's been really great pocket money for me! The funds go into my Paypal... and straight out of my Paypal! I used it to buy this bakelite demi from Etsy: I really wanted a red swirled bangle that I saw on there months ago, which...

    The good boots

We've had a lot of threads on this over the years and the general consensus is that they didn't really do boots back then, just galoshes as Cici says. But it's possible to find boots that slightly resemble galoshes - the ones Inky posted are great! I like these from Melissa...

    Some Art Deco china

I just bought this art deco Midwinter tea set, but I can't find out the pattern name... anyone know? I probably won't use it since it's crazed, but for £4 I couldn't refuse!
