    Not the same - I believe Vanishing Cream is so called as it vanishes into the skin as it moisturises, whereas cold cream sits on top of it and cleanses!

    We've had a lot of threads on this over the years and the general consensus is that they didn't really do boots back then, just galoshes as Cici says. But it's possible to find boots that slightly resemble galoshes - the ones Inky posted are great! I like these from Melissa...
