Stetson Sovereign Beaver Twenty. I'm thinking it's a late 1940's hat. I'll have more to say when it arrives and I post it on the Stetson Sovereign thread.
This isn't a hat I'm waiting for, but an interesting hat-related item I ran across that you all might appreciate. It measures in inches and French lignes.
Churchill Pure Beaver with a ribbon taken from another hat. Saved me the trouble of sending it off for a ribbon. Plus I'm always nervous about sending rare hats away, that they'll get lost or stolen and I always worry until I get them back.
This hat finally arrived. Has 4 inch bound brim and 6 1/2 inch open crown. There are no mfg tags and nothing written or stamped on the sweatband, which has the old VVVV type stitching. I'll be sending it off for cleaning and a new sweatband.
Here's another oldie that's arriving tomorrow and needs serious help. Unknown maker, 4 inch brim, about 6 inch open crown. Looks to date to 1930's or earlier.
