I'm rather tall (4' 26") and the boots do not go above my knees. The shaft is about 1" below my kneecap and where my legs bend (in back) so they don't impede walking. I measured thoroughly before ordering to ensure proper fit & movement.
Here's a pair of custom Wesco Boss boots I ordered/received back in 2021. They have 20" shafts (unlined) and steel toes w/natural mid sole and heel. Really comfortable boots - Wesco is known for their top quality materials and construction and these boots reflect that standard. The extra tall...
Here are some images of two Aero jackets I have with the quilted rayon lining. The first is of a black HH 1/2 w/brick colored quilted lining. I obtained this jacket about 20 years ago - rarely worn so that may be why the lining is in pristine condition. The 2nd set of images are of a LHB I...
Do you have any reference to the make of the black jacket? It appears to be horsehide but I can't identify the maker. The bottom jacket is quite unique - reminds me a bit of a Carhartt type. Thanks a heap.
Another stunner - the back detail is quite unique - kind of a modern take on the half-belt. The slanted vertical seams are another distinctive touch. Me Likey.
I've been rather cautious with the jacket not knowing how getting water or some other liquid on it would affect the finish. I did get a small spot of water on the right cuff and it left a mark that faded within an hour or so. In addition, I did apply some Zaino 'Leather In A Bottle' leather...
Greetings. Yes, I agree that wearing it will be best for the jacket in the long run. I am somewhat impatient but have learned to dismiss my need to hurry things along to a certain extent.
In the meantime I observed that the jacket has darkened a bit (lightly toasted). For reference I'm...
Had my T-3 for about a week - breaking in nicely even though the fit is slightly big. I searched for some images of the Natural Vicenza after being exposed to sunlight - no luck other than a small thumbnail on TB. I reluctantly decided to give my jacket a bit of sun to help the color change...
Some folks may not have dependable high-speed internet (DSL, cable, satellite, FTTH) and there could be data caps that have to be monitored. Thumbnails allow those individuals to selectively open images of their choice. The TB thread is a good example - Carrie posts many magnificent images of...
Greetings CP! You are certainly more detailed than I am - never thought of counting the stitches. I just measured down from the top of the pocket seam to the tip on each flap which resulted in the 1/2" difference between the two. Having a different set of eyes (via this forum) helps to alay...
Thanks for your comment - I kinda thought the pocket flaps looked like elephant ears initially - well almost. Getting another POV from folks here help balance out my obsessive nature.
Thanks for your most valued comment. I hadn't noticed initially, but being overly analytical lead me to fret over something that is, in the long run, probably not worth the effort. As the break-in progresses, the jacket will become more comfortable looking in appearance and the pocket flap...
I posted some images of my new Aero Type III in natural Vicenza a few days ago. I was stoked about the new jacket but overlooked the seemingly large pocket flaps. To my surprise (and disappointment) both flaps on the new jacket are 1/2" longer than the Navy T-3 making the new jacket look a...
My new Type III in natural Vicenza arrived today. Even though I'm not wearing the jacket, the 'out of the box' images provide a preview of what is to come once it becomes more seasoned. The lining is the Tartan Royal Stewart which I think gives the jacket a more sporty look vice a solid color...
Great image and jacket. Being a part of life's daily festivities is the best gift anyone could have. You and your contributions are gifts that keep on giving - Thanks for being you and a part of this wonderful forum! I am a bit older than you (1950) - we all age but we don't have to grow old!
Beautiful jacket and the color is primo! First time seeing this style - I consider this to be a more sophisticated, contemporary take on the Type III trucker jacket. Really, really nice! Hopefully my pending Aero T-3 in Natural Vicenza will acquire a similar hue should I be so lucky!
