    Question on hat bodies

I have a handful of those. I do wish it was more in vogue to make them. We just need a facility to render the fur off of them here in The US Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Question on hat bodies

There are three factories that focus on western hat bodies. Winchester, Hatco, and Fepsa. Hatco does not sell to the public, Fepsa takes large enough orders, and Winchester... call them again as they do take time now and again to get back to people. Being in the US, the ease of meeting them with...

    The Right Brooklyn Dodgers Cap

Ebbets Field Flannels cap in the middle of the second shot. A few of the new @neweracap authentic collection. Broadcloth is very nice. The brim cut is verbatim to that of @ebbetsvintage. I’ll do my full report shortly so stay tuned. What are you thoughts? So far I’m impressed by the crown shape...

    The Right Brooklyn Dodgers Cap

Looks grand! I might get one of those. I do wish ebbets had the rights to do Brooklyn Dodgers caps. This one is verbatim what they make but with the major league logo and the cloth is a wool polyester blend. Like I said, I’ll do a side by side of my ebbets and this new era cap soon. Sent from...

    The Right Brooklyn Dodgers Cap

I keep forgetting, is it that the squeaky wheel gets the grease, or that the squeaky wheel gets replaced? It’s been the longest time I’ve been asking for a version of the classic Brooklyn Dodgers cap in a good weight broadcloth flannel with the figure 8 B and the white button and no battermam...

    Colchester sneakers

I’ve been consulting with and discussing some new styles with Colchester Rubber Co here’s me sporting their Dead Grass color-way. Odd thing is they are quite lively! I’ll have to take them on a long perambulation tonight. Before Converse and Nike and Adidas was versing Puma, there was a man...

If they fail to...

Willis and Geiger A1 Leather Jacket

One of the lesser seen aviator jackets. Well lesser seen in the vein of being called an army air corps jacket, the A-1 heavily caught on as more of a civilian staple with the knit collar, while the military went to a leather pointed collar and a zipper that became a look synonymous with WWII...

Diehl Marcus & Company: LA’s Curious Goods

Like the fabled shop Curious Goods from a TV show on long ago, there is a new shop in LA that delivers the rarest of classic sartorial wears, historical curiosities, better umbrellas, safari accouterments, classic books, Victorian atmosphere and a game of chess oft paired with a historic...

    Show off the sports coats.

I do love the double patch pockets. The top one looks late 50s. The bottom one looks late 40s.

World War 2 Era Wool Unreliable?

Do you have any photos? A lot of times it has to do with where the suits have been. If they have taken on moisture then have slowly dried out over time. Eventually, all the lanolin in the classic wool leaves the suit and depending on what other issues have caused it to decay over time, suiting...

What Hat Are You Wearing Today 1?

Oh Beaver Brand... I wish I wasn't there to see their fall, but I was. I remember the last days as I'd talk to them. It was crushing.

Ask a question, get an answer

Truly between the two, I'm sure you'd get more wear out of the blue. You can wear brown here and there and it may work with the red... but if you have a blue suit, it keys nicely off that, and the red and black accent help as well. I find the red a bit too much, unless that's what you really want.

Anyone thought of getting their Vintage Gear altered offshore ?

There is a point where having a tailor explode a suit to make it fit ends up making it a modern suit using vintage cloth. Taking a 43 to a 36 means you will end up with armholes that are misshaped and pockets that our out of place for where a person was meant to wear them. I think heading...

    Belstaff Indiana (Indy) Jones Jacket

It looks a bit lighter than it should be in the photos... when it comes to an Indy jacket. Is this a good representation? Also, the jacket really looks pretty good. I think the sleeves look good if you're wearing a suit, but seeing as your shirt sleeves look to be hitting the right spot, the...
