I wanted to add my RMC A2 into this thread. Size 42. I am 5'7 ~170-175lbs
I agree that the armholes are tight, however I would not want anything bigger, and I love this leather.
I thank you all for the conversation :)
Can we pivot to three things here?
1. Which B-6 or similar to pick up? Based on what I read over on History Preservation I should be looking for about 6-8" in the chest with those..most (except Aero) in a 42 I've seen achieve that with a 24" pit to pit...
It is a 42. I was between this and a 44 but I think the 44 would have been too long in the body, this feels like a great fit :)
This is dangerous because now I am looking at a G-1 or a B-6.
Ended up paying the premium for real Mccoy

Very cool..
Now I am looking at https://tempodesignstore.com/products/teacore-aniline-horsehide-type-i-g-jacket-in-black-tb-140?pr_prod_strat=collection_fallback&pr_rec_pid=4689973116979&pr_ref_pid=4689398562867&pr_seq=uniform
It is my opinion that we cannot judge a fit by a boot/jean photo alone, I also believe that nothing short of wide straight fit jeans look good with those..maybe a BIGGER cuff
Thanks all! I like the darker seal skin look of the McCoy. Sizing wise it looks to be like the Eastman 1401-P Rough Wear. I know that Charles recommends minimum of 3", and I went down a rabbit hole of reading about proper fit last night..but also see that that a size 44 would be what I'd need to...
Thanks for all the advice. I will take a closer look at some of the Eastman offering as well. Original Maker seems to be more true-reproduction from what I gather?
Is this the A2 that's classic A2 from Eastman? https://www.historypreservation.com/products-page/eastman-leather-brands/usaaf-a-2-flying-jacket-seal-brown-horsehide/
I am tempted to pick up a A2 to have because of how classic the jacket is. What I worry about is sizing - I am in the USA.
I am looking at The Real McCoys right now, and worry about sizing. I measured my chest (with the help of my wife) over my Buzz chambray and am a tight 42" chest.
THE REAL...
Any other US dealers for this? http://butterscotchlb.com/ has some, Self Edge..I am looking for the Lynchburg version. Clutch-Cafe in. the UK has it but its $2500USD+ after duties and fees.
I agree, they're very expensive. Some of the things we decide to spend money on, yikes.
I will be honest and say:
The details are nice, the soles are cool, different, etc - all things no one sees and will wear out. The stitching is fine, no issues I can tell.
My Lofgren are just as nice and...
