Nutria Quality in a size 7 can't get over $12.50, much less meet the reserve.

WTB: Original or reproduction Stratoliner pin

The Strat pins do face backward, and the DC-3s look like they're going down. All of this seems to have been planned by the anti-Don Draper.

Ebay Hats: Victories, Defeats, Gripes & Items of Interest

You paid top-dollar (at least for that moment, as established by your win) in a well-listed auction for a hat you're going to sell? Good luck. Moving up 3 sizes will also cost you the sweat, a lot of brim and, if it still concerns you, most of the resale value of the hat - along with the...

It might have been worth much more to the winner. $500 is cheap, regardless of size, for that hat with the full kit. People paying $400-$600 for beaver customs aren't getting that hat - not even close.

WTB: Original or reproduction Stratoliner pin

That's correct. Stetson sold the Stratoliner hat with the wrong pin - a DC-3. The pin in the center of the photo is of a Stratoliner. Some people prefer to "fix" Stetson's marketing mistake by wearing a Stratoliner pin on a Stratoliner hat. All the pins in the photo are vintage/original.

What Hat Are You Wearing Today 1?

Thanks. Yes, it's got a great curl to it. I believe this might be rlk's original photo of it. the bottom is quite a mess. I also think I may have killed the leather. I did a lot of running with the pup and the leather got very dark from sweat in front. When I got home, I put a little...

U.S. Federal Trade Commission alerts hat industry regarding mislabeling of hats

There is nothing to support this. Best guesses are that 7xCB and 100 are both pure beaver, but the 100 is 100% beaver belly. Not all blends are of different animal furs . There are also blends of furs with different characteristics and qualities that come from the same type of animal.

    Vintage versus modern ´quality´

Here's what I've read: I want an answer to my question. No one has the answer to my question. I refuse to do my own research to answer my question. It's a sad story, often told... by short-term, former members.
