Will be trying on my fourth Hornskov, the Editor in 100x grey. The ribbons look grey in sunlight, but the brownish and reddish tint comes through indoors as you see here. Quite happy as I love the moire ribbons - though this is not a moire type.- daizawaguy

Optimo south side mobsters
Thats interesting - I have two from 2008 or so, the first is their satin finish and superb, and the second, a flecked, is quite standard. Their linings are outclassed by Hornskov in my opinion. See their hats are now $1250 for something quite standard. Are all their felts from Fepsa right? Maybe...- daizawaguy

A lot depends on the quality of the work, and they have to make a living too. If you are happy, go back, if not, move on. Seems within ballpark though.- daizawaguy

I'd say its just a case of getting out of your habit of the simpler tones, and try and encourage yourself to maybe match it with a lighter sweater or even another accessory (handkerchief?) - given you have been wearing fedoras, I guess the issue you are having is that you have got used to your...- daizawaguy

I think they got it wrong - in a right-handed selfie I miss my ribbon! Breast pockets are on left for right handed people....maybe thats a reason. But I think as the maker faced the hat front in front so to speak, they found it easier to do this on the left? Or is that me getting too...- daizawaguy

FED IV Crown too tall
It really depends what you are looking for - I battled for ages with high crowns and larger brims until I found my style - but as suggested, play around with it to see if you can lower the crown a bit.
