If we never get the numbers, at least it's enough to demonstrate that 1) fedoras have historically been wool felt, not only fur felt, and that 2) the selection of vintage hats displayed on the Fedora Lounge site probably isn't statistically representative. -

Not that it's the same thing at all, but I have a 7 1/8 fedora that I like quite a bit. Sweatband etc. weren't salvageable, and the now plain felt crown sits a little high on my 7 1/2 LO head but fits OK. It isn't just a stingy brim, now it's a whole stingy hat! -

trombone I see one for $45 in "Keizer" (not too familiar with the Salem area), on craigslist, but I'd go for the $225 Olds in "Jefferson." Even if it's the Ambassador student line, they're not so bad.
