Hard to tell from the pic, David but it has the appearance of 'genuine Milan' which is braided wheat straw as I understand it. That golden wheat color has often been copied with hemp and synthetics but they're usually labeled as such. -

Smarter than what? Than to accept your say so as proof? Yes I am. You have offered nothing that says Stetson made that hat. A lot # on a sweat yet a completely different mfg tag and size tag than Stetson was using at the time. Maybe, but I don't know that and unless I've missed something... -
