This old Stetson in “Wanderer” style was in dire need of a spiff up. The sweatband had come almost completely unattached.. the crown as soft and moldable as it is had gotten too slouchy and the brim a bit wonky. I reattached the front half of the sweatband this weekend. And last night i gave it a heavy steam and reshaping. The steam reactivated some of the stiffeners in the felt, and while it’s not quite as soft as it was… managed to erases some of its frumpy crease memory. I am very pleased with the outcome. Along with some spectacular light to show it off with.

Cooler weather on the horizon, so today is a pipe maintenance day. I did good this year and have actually kept them fairly clean... Mainly dusting.... actually found a tote full of unopened MacBaren, Boswell, and 4th Gen tobacco tins! Already had a bunch of various Jars full ready to dig into...Wont have to do any leaf shopping this year lol

Cigars are definately lower maintenance, but even a really, really good cigar cant hold a candle to some of the good pipe stuff

My favorite old Whippet up top for the morning

Mr Bear starting his week with my older Akubra Banjo Paterson. Old enough that its lost a bit its shape and been reworked a couple times. Picked up a few spots that I need to address someday soon, but its maturing decently and still wears well. These days its one of the default rain hats here.

Great hats. I miss mine. My BP was the first hat I wore into the dirt.
