Marca Sole (an old Barbisio) today. This is really a great hat.

Saturday morning with a little help from Meyer the Hatter in New Orleans.. Nice lightweight hat with a really smooth finish. Other than the Meyer liner logo there are no markings on the hat. Dont know if they finished hats in house, or if they just bought from other manufacturers. This one looks a lot like a couple of Resistol dress hats Ive got

You should give them a call and ask. I did when I saw the hat listed and I believe they told me they had someone else make the hats and they just branded them with their name. I think it was Paul Meyer I spoke to and he gave me the names of some of the companies he thought it could have been but I hadn't heard of any of them and immediately forgot what they were after hanging up because I have the memory of a goldfish.

My escapades this morning had me selecting some Stetson Stratoliners.

A dog soirée was enjoyed wearing a Stetson Stratoliner. This brownish hued hat has a dynamite felt.

I headed out in the 56'f (14'c) temps for a walk through the local forest reserve. I donned a Stetson Stratoliner.

Home I chose a different Stratoliner for a trip to the bakery and a stroll sipping coffee.

It has been a thin ribbon morning.

Below is a comparison pics of the first couple early morning hats.

Cheers, Eric -
I hate taking selfies... I love this Dobbs, did't realize how dusty it was.

So this thread does not need another photo of me wearing a black hat, but wear one I did, for the past two days which was Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year.

1950's Barbisio, which reminded me, the name was brought back by a Colombian manufacturer and they now have their own Instagram account @barbisio_colombia. These new felts are also available for sale to hatmakers at hatsandhats.com. The old felts, we still hunt those.
