The last of my Stetson group, for the moment.

This is one of two relatively modern Sovereigns I got pretty inexpensively from a Goodwill auction. I like this one better of the two because it is a more interesting (to me) olive green color. The other is charcoal. I bought them both from the same Goodwill and I was all happy because I could combine shipping lol.

When I pulled it out this morning I noticed a bump in the felt on the brim, on the opposite side from the bow. I don't remember seeing this before; I must have just missed it. Of course, I started picking at it with my thumbnail, which I'm sure was the wrong thing to do. It looks like a bump of felt that was formed improperly or didn't get pounced off or something.

How would I go about fixing this? Can it be sanded off without damaging the surrounding felt? Should I send it to someone that knows what they are doing, or is this something I can do myself?

Stetson Florentine Milan In Cognac this morning. Tropical Storm Edourdo ( Possible HURRICANE Edourdo if it intensifies before landfall) moving ashore south of me. My little neck of the East Texas woods is right in the path. Going to be a wet tuesday night and wednesdy ..... May be an Akubra day tomorrow

I try to take advantage of my proximity to Europe when I spend time in Israel (like now), but even so I have better luck with great Borsalinos and German hats. The French, not so much yet.
