What Hat Are You Wearing Today ?

As usual, love your hats. I was curious do the vents in that Gannon Beachcomer make a big difference? Would love to have a felt I can try and wear longer during the heat here in the Carolinas.

Somewhere in the archived threads is a TFL discussion had a few years ago about vents providing ventilation. No solid evidence was agreed upon. I like the look, so I vote have more vents. Does it work - not noticeable in my in my experience. This is no flow with a hat with a liner. No air flow thru the "silk."

I finished yesterday wearing a vintage Pilgrim.

This mornings dog soirée was under the peak of a cap.

I enjoyed morning coffee wearing a Stetson 3X OR. Grand felt.

I moved some bags of rock after donning a Portis Dixie.

With the heat easing off and frequent showers it’s definitely back to the Akubra Campdraft. This hats been a go-to sun hat and now with the liner back in place I expect it’ll take me into winter.

A Stetson James Dean Foundation hat this morning.

This is a lovely hat with beautiful, soft felt. I love the stitching on the brim, and it has that little wind cord detail that I like. Really nice, soft sweat also. I love this thing, but it wants to touch my ears.

I got a similar 60 from Jeff, so I'm thinking about letting this one go. Fits like a 61 - 7 5/8.

Bee Cool beater gets the call today. I flatten the brim this time of year for better shading. A mama bear and her two cubs were crossing the river just downstream of me and by the time I got my phone out they were exiting. Sadly I had to resort to a selfie .

Oh, my. That Pilgrim is simply breathtaking!! And the ribbon on the Portis is truly a thing of beauty! (Not saying the Stetson and the Cordova aren't awfully nice, too!)
