Woo hoo! Was moving a couple stacks of hats and found a couple of "missing" hats nested up inside larger ones. A G U N Club Silverbelly Roadmaster B and a Caribou Stratoliner. For modern hats Ive always liked the felt on these. Time for some sun

Guess I really do need to pull a maintenance day and do some hat dusting and re-organization.... Tired of losing hats lol

I've always been of the opinion that if you haven't used it in a year and you didn't miss it.... you should sell it to me ;)

This one was orignally imported and sold by The B.R Baker Co. of Toledo, OH to someone with the initials G.C.A. This hat has Borsalino's version of the Cav edge. If any of you Borsalino guys can help me with more information based on the sticker shot, please let me know. I will also attempt to research this further later this afternoon.

I got this one for what, for me, felt like a phenomenal price, and I originally called this my "beater Borsa" - but when it arrived, it was in much better shape than I thought, and I have since revised my opinion of this hat upward further as I have gained more practical experience.

This is a very wearable hat. :)

C.G.A. Borsa - 7 1/4, but I can wear it fine

My escapades this morning had me selecting some Stetson Stratoliners.

A dog soirée was enjoyed wearing a Stetson Stratoliner. This brownish hued hat has a dynamite felt.

I headed out in the 56'f (14'c) temps for a walk through the local forest reserve. I donned a Stetson Stratoliner.

Home I chose a different Stratoliner for a trip to the bakery and a stroll sipping coffee.

It has been a thin ribbon morning.

Below is a comparison pics of the first couple early morning hats.

This is the other Optimo hat. The crown is taller than the Mundo so it has a few more options with the crease. I was able to do this rough Indy style. You can see how flexible the brim is in the way it bends from its weight
I do love Optimo. No doubt about it.

This is my last felt Borsalino - at least until I find one from 1937 that fits me ;)

I got this one from Jeff because I was annoyed that my 61 was too big, thinking at the time that they were very similar hats, but they are actually quite different.

Obviously, different ribbon treatment, but they are also slightly different colors of brown, and the felt on this one feels just a hair more substantial, or maybe they used just a bit more stiffener. I guess it's possible they were shaped on different blocks, but I'm no good at figuring that stuff out. the 60 has a slightly smaller brim width.

They both are from that gold-sticker, multi-size era, though I don't know how long that ran, they both have the mode edge stitching and they both have the little wind cord detail. Same badging, same liner, for the most part, though the 60 has an actual street address in the liner.

Stetson Sovereign Twenty OR that I picked up from a fellow lounger. Was pleasantly surprised to see it was purchased at a small family owned store in neighboring Kansas, from a town in western Kansas, Ulysses, named after the President.
