Whippet for first day on the new job.
that fresh desktop feeling.
that fresh desktop feeling.
When I replaced the brim stitching on my *** Prince, I was careful not to go too thick with the thread specifically to avoid looking too “Sheriff Woody” Apparently that is not possibleAn aside; I was heading out to work mid morning and the neighbor boy, 10 years old, told me my Woody Hat was great! I was puzzled and he noticed it. He said the hat with the stitching I wore on Saturday. Ah ha! I did not post the Stetson Royal Deluxe as I did not take exterior or interior pics.
I am correcting not posting my "Woody" hat.

Pure classStetson St. Regis RD Homburg.
One of the first vintage hats I bought - I love this thing. It's a 7 5/8, bought before I knew exactly how hats fit on my head, probaby shrunk a little, but still a little wobbly. I need to put a couple cork strips in it, but that can wait until I get it back from a Spa day lol.
Clean center dent this morning - the felt is so soft it doesn't survive the first tap, though. I love this hat. I may eventually get a smaller, older one, but this one will be hard to beat.

I do like that Dunlap!
Enjoyed the parade! The two borsalinos both did it for me.
Thank you, gentlemen. Maastricht is a fine place to visit, Robert. Rieux has been doing those concerts for quite while now. Looked down upon by purists a bit, but that's just snobbery. I think it's OK to be upstaged by a car that nice. Looking great (both you and the car).View attachment 802612
The Borsalino, yes please.
Wijn op het plein (wine on the square - in Dutch it rhymes)
Hopefully I am taking Tina to Holland next year. As long as her recovery from surgery continues and her surgeon agrees, we will be off to the Andre Rieu concert at The Vrijthof.

Meanwhile my lady was chauffeurred to church in style this morning.
The Susquehana hat topped out today's attire. But as one of the worshippers said, with a smile:
"Nice hat, but you will never upstage that car of your's." Can't really argue with that.
Thank you, Mark.Another gorgeous lineup, Stefan! I'm picking the Barbisio as #1, the Borsalino Nutria as #2, and the Mayser as #3. Thanks, as always, for making Sundays so fun!
Thank you very much. Love my homburgs.Wow that Mayser Especiale and the Borsalino Nutri are amazing!!
Fabulous hat, Steve. I have only three gatesan models in the database in total. The elio colour is a one off so far. We can only hope to find moreEchter Borsalino "Gatesan" possibly late 1930s early 1940s. The Felt color is "Elio", and the Ribbon color is "G. Assab" (Assab, Eritrea, up 1941 under Italian control) . I believe this is the only "Elio" (Italian Given Name) color here on FL. I also believe I have the only two "Gatesan" model hats here on the FL. The "Gatesan" could have been specifically made for the German market. I found this Soft Felt back in 2012.
