It's been unseasonably hot here in SW England. Went to a local Country Fair. And my hand-woven, made in Ecuador, toquilla straw Panama hat was the perfect choice.

Seriously, gents, if it is hot and sunny out - and you ain't a cowboy - then the Panama is the way to go. All sorts of guys with baseball hats - and sunburned necks.

Hut Brömme Nürnberg 75th Anniversary (1953), mid 1950s. Highly possible this was made by Hückel Weilheim. Really fantastic Chamois Felt that has a very soft hand and easily dry creases. Also in NOS condition. I found this Soft Felt back in 2020.

Looks like the weather guys missed the forecast ( again) . No rain but foggy. ( no rain means nice hats up top). Today a 3x beaver Open Road.

This morning a vintage Stetson Made Moose River, actually really nice felt on this one. It is an every day beater for me...nice and comfortable.

Then this afternoon a modern Stetson Hemp "Medalist" made in 2016 (with a vintage pug I added). This is an awesome hat, 5 3/4" crown, 3" brim!

Back in the Newt Montecristi all weekend for a trip to Atlanta. We are headed to the Atlanta Aquarium- one of the largest aquariums in the world. I will be making a side trip to B. M. Franklin.

A little Orvis furfelt hat today. Need to do some steaming and shaping... the sides of the brim keep trying to curl upwards. Im thinking a flatter brim would be more fitting
