Understood. I negotiated down to $610 USD. While not exactly cheap, it felt like a very good price when I took everything into account. That and to be able to try the fit before buying was a big bonus.

I see used Schott Perfectos selling for that sort of money all the time on eBay. (As in 80s and later 118s / 618s.) On that basis, something more offbeat liked this seems a fair price.

The term grail is most often ised subjectively for an item that for one individual is a highly sought after end game piece. If this is that for you then it’s a grail. Thumbs up emoji. If you’re asking if it’s an objective grail i.e. a super rare piece that everyone would love to have, well, i think you know it’s not that. Anyhow, it looks cool. Enjoy.

I've been at this long enough to know there is no "grail" just a well-appreciated piece of work, sometimes more appreciated than others.

The thing that makes it grail is that it's out of reach. By definition, as soon as you finally get your grail jacket, it turns out that a different jacket is your grail now.

If this is a grail jacket to you, who cares what others think. I like those, they fit my body nicely. It appears like ealy 60s to me which were very nice in my view. The fact you can try it on and see how it fit, is a premium I always pay for.
