The first two pictures are my new Akubra Cattleman in sand that I wore on our school trip to Melbourne. The following two are my Stratoliner that I wore today for grocery shopping.
And here is Etsuko, Wakayama (out of Osaka)

Not quite! The real takeway here is you're a Cincinnati Reds fan.
Nice hat.
Thank you Stefan, knowing the hours that Tina puts in to make something special for me does make me proud when, inevitably, I get asked: where I "bought" it.Looking splendid as usual, Robert. Nothing beats the feeling of wearing things made just for you.
I do like Wakayama prefecture, lovely part of the world.I had to look the song up on YouTube.

Not a lot of people know of Wakayama. It has a pretty spectacular geological history resulting in some awesome scenery. And just a short train ride away from the night life of Osaka. If you’re ever back this way, Gary Wakayama has some pretty damn good barbecue (if I do say so myself)!I do like Wakayama prefecture, lovely part of the world.
The stratoliner also looks pretty great, ‘must resist urge to shop online’
The Susquehana Hat Company do bespoke? Well, I'll go to the foot of our stairs. (our American friends will be learning so many random British phrases between us) They make some very good hats for the price point, I've had several and cant grumble at the overall quality, again considering the price paid.G&G bought out the hat maker that I previously made my hats, that being The Susquehana Hat Company. A phone call to G&G proved most fruitful, they had my account and as Susquehana had many a client who used their made to measure service, G&G intended to continue offering bespoke.
It might seem ostentatious but having made to measure guarantees a comfortable fit and long lasting wear. I have been spoiled all my married life by my talented wife who has made wardrobes full of clothes for me.

Yesterday's hat is pressed into service for church today. It compliments the shirt and trousers that Tina specifically made to wear with this blazer. There's a fellow at church who thought that I was telling porkies when I said that my wife made the shirt and trousers.
Tina's response to the insult was: "What do you expect from someone who dresses like they are wearing a sack!" My lady never pulls her punches.
Is the term "Porkies," leaving you scratching your head? It's Cockney rhyming slang. Porkies, Pork Pies, Lies! So now you know.
Not quite!

Il vincente senza ombra di dubbio - The winner without a shadow of a doubt

The Sools Fifth Avenue would be welcome in my wardrobe.
I don’t get down there that often as I live and work in Kanto/Tohoku but I spent eight months there a few years ago. I spent a lot of time mooching around the coast or up to Koyasan, and spectacular is the right word. Not a lot of people know of Wakayama. It has a pretty spectacular geological history resulting in some awesome scenery. And just a short train ride away from the night life of Osaka. Simply lovely, Steve!J. Hückel´s Söhne "Jota" "Seal Velour", possibly late 1930s. The Velour is fantastic (color, finish, hand) and very pliable. This Velour was one of a nine hat find that I made back in 2021.
