I know having someone looking over you shoulder asking you having tried this or that can be annoying as hell so sorry about that or if someone is already aware of this.

I found a post about what seems to be the exact same issue on another forum.
I don't know if the Lounge is running on the same stack as that forum but at first glance it looks pretty similar.

Digging a little further on that post a fix might be clearing / increasing the size of the in memory table holding sessions data. Granted the cronjob clearing that table doesn't hang.

As an alternative moving that table from memory to MySQL (if available) also seems to fix the issue.
Databases and session management fall outside my expertise, but these do seem like possible causes.

Are you an IT industry professional and if so, what is your field of expertise?
I am/was into system administration but moved towards a less technical role. I would usually have a database dude for those more specific issues to that.

For me this Oops! We ran into some problems. has gone from something that happened about 10% of the time to, this week, about 90% of the time. I'm actually surprised now when I visit the site and its working.

I'm sure on the admin side they can turn on live error reporting, so they will see the error on screen when this happens (and members can't).

That said I have no idea how this site is set up, I mean if the recent filter which was added is something nobody has any control over and is implemented by a third party then maybe this issue too is something getting batted back and forth to no end.

It's very annoying. It seems that the forum is slowly but surely losing its relevance.

Am I losing my marbles, having a senior’s moment or am I the only one that doesn’t have an ‘attach files’ button in DMs anymore??

If it's pictures you need to attach, try cutting and pasting them directly into your dm, same as on a post; that works (and is faster than uploading as an attachment).

That works! Good for a single pic, but I don’t know how to copy multiple pics in iOS - I’d have to do them one by one. Thanks!

Got surprised today too that it's working! Haven't been reading as much here lately bc the issues. Hope it gets resolved soon!

I'm surprised there haven't been any more recent comments in the last couple months. I've been getting a rash of Ooops notices and can sign on about half the time. Maybe I'm just lucky that way.

I hadn't had problems in months, then since a few weeks ago I get the Oops message almost daily, usually in the AM my time (CET).

I'm getting the Oops! every day. I'd say maybe 50% of the time when I attempt to log in.

It's so commonplace now it's not worth moaning about. I'll get on eventually.
Same here. And it is doubly frustrating for me as I have to have access in order to do my job. If I can't log on to take care of one or two minor problems, they don't go away and are joined by more difficult problems.

Instead of having a simple 10 minute job, it now takes me 4 X that long.

Hopefully, this will get sorted, and the dreaded Oops! message will be a thing of the past.
