Goatskin Golden Bear. The first jacket I’ve been able to properly and undetectably lengthen the sleeves on. I was shocked my hobby grade sewing machine could get through the leather but it did! I removed the fold with a strip of suede deerskin on the inner cuff. Good practice for the brown version that should land this week!

Only took me 8 million jackets to finally do it right!
PS- I see I have some PM’s but I can’t check my messages. The site simply does not load them. Just want to be clear I’m not ignoring anyone. Site is running like hot garbage for me for a long time.

Very nice! From a distance the dents look like intentional cuffs..

You are the master in seeing the potential in used jackets! While everyone else is chasing the usual Bucco, Sears or whatever vintage grails you are rescuing these absolutely stunning 60s and 70s jackets and showing their real value .

I think people largely consider anything past the 50’s to be junk and there certainly is plenty of evidence to justify that impression. The reality is there are just as many quality pieces from the 60’s-70”s as well. I’ve owned some shabby quality golden era pieces so not everything from those eras was built to a higher standard either. Quality and lesser quality has always been a thing.

The 70’s introduced fast fashion and disposable clothing but there are plenty of smaller scale makers that didn’t follow that trend, which was largely department store driven.

That’s a great fit and a good look on you.

Thanks for saying that.

The jacket runs pretty large in the shoulders and chest. I have made a thread to “complain” about sizing inconsistencies with Lewis Leathers jackets.

Now that the jacket is fully broken in, I have come to like the more relaxed fit as part of the somewhat casual appearance. The cut is short and boxy per se, so it doesn’t appear too oversized overall.

The art of day drinking is an achievement I display regularly on city trips with the wife. No better way to get to know the culture and people of a foreign place than to sit down with them and share a pint or two.

There are many upsides on severely cutting back on alc, but the one downside is that these days I am pretty much useless after three pints or so.

True! For me it’s drink 3 and asleep I be! Lately I try to avoid the heavy % abv’s. Gimmie something around 5 or less and let me cook on it. The one thing I’ve noticed as I get older is that as soon as I eat, I am lights out.
