Another fun Hat Tuesday episode today with Paul John Murphy and Nathan Tuck joining me on-screen to discuss ways to create new hat wearers. Today, I was wearing my rum-colored Berg Lord's Hat from the 1960s. I also shared a graphic I generated with the help of ChatGPT depicting a Reasoned Action Approach (RAA) that hatters and hat enthusiasts can use to help them in their efforts to bring more folks into our hobby.

After a magnificent sunny and, finally, moderately cold day, busy with a family birthday lunch of January, I was able to admire the week's parade from the Netherlands.
These are my favorites.
Grazie, Daniele!

The Mossant, a stylish fedora hat, of timeless elegance. A real beauty Stefan.

Another bespoke by Gamble & Gu-nn, fingers crossed the rain holds off, hand made hats and rainwater are not recommended.
Thank you, Robert. An Englishman would have a sturdy umbrella at the ready, wouldn't he? Really like the nice contrasty outfit you chose.

The cold has eased slightly, but it feels like a winter from days gone by, when cold days were constant for three months.

Amid clear skies and a low sun, I'll show you another recent Borsalino.
View attachment 761661
Borsalino Qualità Superiore size 6, or 7 3/8 in the US. No indication of the color or type of hat.
View attachment 761662
The felt is certainly a "misto" called Borsalino color no. 202 at the time they produced it.
The felt is slightly bristly and malleable to a certain extent. It's clearly a remake of pre-war models.

The finishing touches are magnificent, especially the stitching on the brim edges.
A truly beautiful hat, sitting unsold on the shelves of Matthias Hutter in Merano.

Have a good start to the week, everyone, and thank you for your kind words.
A perfect heather felt for winter weather!

Another very interesting hat, unfortunately far from my size
Verelyte Barbisio 5.jpg

A very high-quality Italian hat made in the golden age of Barbisio in Sagliano Micca (Biella)
Verelyte Barbisio 2.jpg
The Barbisio "Verelyte" measures 56 cm or 7 in the US.
Verelyte Barbisio 1.jpg
The hat is lined, and the felt is lightweight, indicating its use in spring and autumn.
Verelyte Barbisio 7.jpg
What fascinates me is the shape, very similar to hats from the 1930s, the full and imposing crown, although I doubt this one is that old.
Verelyte Barbisio D.jpg
The felt color is "Muschio - Moss Green", and these are the measurements: the raw brim is 5 cm, the ribbon is 2 cm, slightly contrasting with the rich green of the felt, and the lowest point of the crown is 9 cm.
Verelyte Barbisio C.jpg

The felt is lightweight and very shapeable.
For any inquiries let me know.

I have been enjoying this JBS 20 that I recived last year from @hambone71. This is a great little hat.

It has been a whirlwind of a week for me. First I want to thank everyone for their kind words about me getting back to work. I will catch up on this thread and reply to those remarks asap. I have said it before but it's worth repeating many times: this community really saw me through some challenging days the last few years. Thank you to all for making this such a vibrant place worth hanging out in.

I have a job offer with Schneider. My old company won't take me back because I am out of their hiring radius now, and Schneider has a refresher course they will send me through (and pay me) since I've been away for so long.

We'll see what I decide. I have a lot more research to do, but Schneider wants me to start at the beginning of February. So this happening fast.

Stay warm out there, hat lovers.
