What Hat Are You Wearing Today ?

Yeah I was looking back at some older photos of this hat and none of them really do the color justice, no matter what light. Soft sunlight does seem to work best since it brings out the hue variation in the felt and the ribbon.

I imagine a BGCD suffers the same challenge.

Edit: this one against the bushes backdrop is also interesting, making color appear maybe even taupe-ish.

I find greens… especially in the Loden realm can look anywhere from green to tan/yellows to brown. Big time color shifters.

Thanks, "Loden green" definitely describes the color of this hat best - far better than my initial "forest green" assignation.

I'm actually terrible at colors. My family enjoys playing this game called "Hues and Clues" which depends on at least some minimal appreciation of color variation.

Let's just say I am not a top competitor in that game...

I also enjoy making as good a photo as I can, including vivid colors and interesting skyscapes.
Yep, me too. Composition.

Thank you, Rob.
Good heavens, Sir! You have an Embarrassment of Riches when it comes to great hats! I'd find myself lost at having to choose.
Thank you! It's good to have options ;).

I find it interesting at least for me that green felts seem to be hardest to render accurate color. Maybe the phone cameras share the same disaffinity for green hats as Stefan.
I'm not alone anymore!:D

This week I’m torn between the first and the last.
Thank you, Joe.

Thanks Phil! Hope you had a great Christmas brother.

Are you ready for the Hoosiers?
We actually celebrated our family Christmas today. Due to unforseen circumstances, we had to reschedule. Hope you had a good one and a Happy New Year!

I'm optimistic about the Rose Bowl after seeing Bama make adjustments against OU after being down 17. Bring it on!

Lots of old favorites in this week's selection! I'm going with the Wehrmeier as #1 (no surprise!), the Mossant Castor as #2, and Borsalino as #3. Thanks as always, Stefan, and looking forward to what you'll show us in 2026!
