The other resellers beat you to it.
Truth be told it was still 2000 dollars. Reselling on eBay would’ve given someone a few hundred bucks. If you have an IG account with followers you make 3 thousand. If you’re in Japan you make 4k. I would’ve like to own the jacket.

Right, so you would have liked to own a $2k jacket that's about five sizes too big for you?

Not enough meat on the bone to resell?

Lol, truth be told, I think you know better.

Earlier this year I put in a bid on a goatskin one, size 44. The winning bid was $3.274.

Reselling a big size, mint Beck 333 wil yield a lot more than 'a few hundred bucks'.

Don't act like you're not a reseller, because you clearly are.

Glad to see you found another target. I've literally bought 500 dollar items that I thought were originals that turned out to be reproductions. I've thrown out jackets that I gambled on that weren't even worth selling. Sometimes when I get a good deal I do like to recoup some of my money, two years later. Hope that's okay with you. The hobby costs me just as much as anyone who spends too much on jackets.

Further - I gamble on sizing all the time. I currently own a Monarch that on paper is 3 sizes too big for me, and yet it suits me perfectly well. I knew it was underpriced, I truly don't know what top dollar items sell for as I do not engage in those huge auctions. To my eye, it's an old jacket that's about $1,500 dollars more than what an old leather jacket should cost in this life.

Further again - maybe I'll lose money on this fantastic old Guidemaster, after eBay fees. It remains to be seen. Wouldn't be close to the first time I've done that.

I've seen AHP91 sell a lot of jackets below market price. Multiple star gloves, rare 30s-40s jackets. Really fairly priced, I've bought jackets from him before.

I'm just pointing out that you are in fact a reseller. A fact that you confirm yourself.

I've seen your resell a bunch of jackets, happily making a healthy profit, not waiting two years to do so either. Some people would call that flipping.

Which is perfectly fine by me, but don't act like that's not what you're doing.

Send me that flying togs for 1k and I’m sure I couldn’t tell you it feels like a thousand dollar jacket. My beat up goatskin I bought off here for 225 is the one that looks the coolest in person.

That was a very cool jacket. I wanted to keep that one, but it was too small for me.

A fortune cookie once told me - if you are the only bidder on (multiple) expensive vintage items out of the hotbead of Americana, yahoo! Japan, you are the worst reseller and need to go back to reselling school.
