A few months back, a ad sponsored post came into my feed featuring a trucker cap made from trimming the brim of a Stetson Open Road straw hat. I'd screencapped it, but have since misplaced that screencap. Probably for the best. It was quite possibly the worst hat I'd ever seen.

Had to search this out (and now feel a bit sick to my stomache)

What does wearing a hat say about a person?

What does wearing a hat symbolise? Hats have historically been a symbol of socioeconomic status or profession. But today, most people wear hats for functionality or style. Hat etiquette is much looser these days, and just about anything goes! You can say that again!

Wasn't that one of Elton John's "stage wardrobe" hats?

Low in stock, only 1 left. Price:£1,051.48.

Too expensive? How about a nice pirate's hat at £237.73?
You will have to hurry, there's Only 3 left.

A tad too flambouyant, perhaps? At work they might think it's: "Wear a silly hat to work day." Or you are wearing it for a bet. Tell you what, for just £89.99, there's a much cheaper way to attract attention:

You can even buy it with 3 easy payments of £30.
Does it need words?

Mmm tw-at is censored haha
Yeah, I don't know exactly why--complaints from members I would think--but semi-recently the Bartenders and/or anyone else working to maintain the "semi-family" atmosphere this website has been known for--have maybe erred on the side of caution. I don't have children myself, so I'm not about to go telling parents (or, in this case, anyone under the age of, say, 50) how they should instruct their not-ready-for-retirement-age children how to behave in public.

That said, I've been a member here long enough to know that the people responsible for keeping this forum "on the track" know their jobs and perform them well, and have no problems showing the door to people who don't seem to understand this website is not for those looking for a Bacchanalia or any other form of out-of-control-party.

Bacchanalia, The word "bacchanalia" comes from Latin, borrowed from the term Bacchānālia, meaning feast of Bacchus. The term Bacchus is derived from the Greek god's name, Bakkhos.

While there is no direct ancient Latin translation for the modern term "Teetotal," as the concept originated with the 19th. century temperance movement, a Latin phrase that loosely conveys the idea of complete abstinence from alcohol is sine vino omnino. Not a phrase that would be in keeping with this thread:
