Good morning folks.

For evening shennigans I wore an Akubra Campdraft. This the TFL version with a 2.5" brim.

After relocating snow this morning (in a cap) I switched to a Knox Vagabond King. It has glorious felt and clean features. A real pleasure to wear.

It's a sunny day, and the temperature has risen a bit

Today we celebrate the full colors of autumn.

Huckel Eta "Seal Velour" made in Czechoslovakia and sold in Le Havre, France. Size 6 or 59 cm. or 7 3/8 in US
Like most Huckels made before the war and immediately afterward, and for a good while afterward, the quality is exquisite.

Every now and then, I'd like to discover a deposit of velour felts and be able to touch them simultaneously to get the feeling. It would be great!

I dusted off the velour, the pile, and anything else I've worked with felt with a fur.
Thank you for all your compliments, which are mutual, and have a good day to all of you fellow hat-lovers.

You’d need a cigarette afterwards, Daniele. The velour jewel you’re wearing today is beyond exquisite!

Happy Thanksgiving morning to all! Moving from the bigger Akubras into the more modest "town" or "dress" hats, the problem was choosing what to wear.... So I laid out a Campdraft, A Bogart, and a Stylemaster in the yard and put Mr Bear to work picking for me. He went straight to it, so the Stylemaster it is! ( Perhaps I had put a bit more sweat and scent in this one lol)

On a further happy note, I found out yesterday from my friends at the antique shop that during last saturdays "Christmas in Crockett" shopping event, Six of my hats sold! Great way to clear out some ill fitting or lesser hats from not so spectacular ebay buys. After their comission cut, I have almost $400 coming! Extra Christmas money in the pocket never hurts

Love this one, HJ! I'm after one for myself but I'm gonna be patient and try to get one without giving up a kidney. Be blessed!
Thank you Phil! I appreciate that very much. This one was in mint condition & came with the case. I only have about 3-4 eras, styles, creases, of hats that I care much about & this is one of them. I’ve studied blocking of each & know what I like & why. It doesn’t have to be a one-hundred to be in the style I like. Judging by your hats & pics I think you get it too. As far as pricing, it’s only going to go up for good original mint condition One-hundreds & other premium vintage grades of hats. Classic lines will always be classic & should stay that way.

Happy Thanksgiving.
