Steel Gray Akubra Great White Shark Sz 55 just beached itself today.

Rainy day so I'm sparing it & wearing it around the house.
Fits but I think I like my hats deeper/lower in the back.

You don't have to spare it from the rain. Akubras can take it. Many folks around here reach for their Akubras on rainy days. They're built like little tanks. Congrats on a fine looking hat!

Good day TFL folks.

Yesterday I enjoyed more coffee under the brim of a Borsolino.

This mornings dog soirée I enjoyed under the brim of a vintage spiral fedora. The multi-hued felt is really eye catching in person. This is a hat I acquired from Garrett. He identified that unfortunately somewhere in the hats history the brim had been trimmed. Still a gorgeous hat featuring spiral stitching.

I changed fedoras to enjoy my morning coffee. This Borsolino Misto is a stunning fedora. It has all the desirable features.

A new arrival, brought about by my fondness for Cappellificio Cervo. Yes, that's right.

Whenever a hat from that brand appears in my size, I always have a small, soft spot in my heart.
This one has one of my favorite colors in the hat world. Cervo size 60, recently made, about twenty years ago.

The felt reminds me of those used by Tonak for their "shiny" blue color. I'll have to take a look at my blue Tonaks to see if my hunch is correct.

The hat has a manufacturing label that reads: Akron Lux and a few numbers.
Its shape recalls that of the hats worn by Italian brigands in the second half of the 19th century.
Wide brims and a low crown. The felt is beautiful, malleable, and often changes color.

I'm always interested, even on Monday mornings, in your hats that speak to me.
Stunning colour on that hat, Daniele.

I always enjoy your hat presentations, Eric, but this time, I must say, you've outdone yourself: all three hats are so magnificent in their own way that you'd see me turning pale with envy. Wonderful!

Looks like we actually got a bit of a break in the weather today for our annual outdoor Christmas shopping festival.. Supposed to be partly sunny and dry. Little bit cooler this morning so at least its not tropical and steamy like the last few days. Always amazed me how this time of the year in East Texas it can be 85 one day and 60 the next

Today the Akubra parade continues with a Coolabah
