Today my dog soirée was under the brim of a Stetson Fifteen.

Good looking Twenty, Nathan! How wide is that ribbon?

Thanks Phil!

Yeah I believe this is the widest ribbon in my collection at 2-1/4 inches.

Some people really like this hat - I've been stopped a number of times by folks wanting to compliment it. I usually prefer a wider brim but this one is great for cold, windy days.

I also had a similar journey, but by now I have converted most of my thin ribbons to a cattleman's crease.

I also enjoy the cattleman's on a homburg and on a wide-ribbon western (like my Gannon), but still not convinced that it's good for a fedora.
On some of my old homburg like or upturn fedoras I sometimes like to put in those side dents … cattleman crease like…. And then I call it the bankers crease…. Cause all the folks wearing hats like that in old movies look like they have money

Lt Tragg on Perry Mason wore those kind of creases on almost all of his fedoras. I liked the character but just could not get into his hats!

They do look great on you, though, Joe! :)

I went with the Biltmore Senator today.
It was bitter cold this morning. I figured the Canadian air mass deserved a Canadian hat. Also, it gave me a chance to try this coat, which is my latest thrift store find. I paid almost nothing for it, but it's warm, and I love it. Truly "like new". After I purchased it, I found out it was double thrifty - my daughter recognized the label as a Target store-brand. LOL... Regardless of the original price, or thrifted price, it's a great coat!!!
It just goes to show...

Monday was sunny and the air crystal clear north of Verona

Autumn is slow to arrive because the nights are typically warm, but during the day they rise and the sun continues to warm us.

Today, for a walk, I equipped myself with a homburg hat I purchased in early 2025.
It's a 61-centimeter size, Guerra 1855, finished with long-haired felt.

I was lucky, but I had to go to France to buy it even if it is not my size :)
I know this finish is rare for Homburg hats, and that's why it arrived here

Many compliments to you for the beautiful hats you post every day.
Have a nice day!
A longhair homburg; that is special indeed! Beautiful one, Daniele.

Beautiful. Cool find, Jeff.
Thank you. It was one of four I posted about in the Brotherhood yesterday that I was fortunate enough to win in an auction. This was the nicest (in my opinion) and oldest of the bunch. Still, a nice haul for my winning bid (and my wife may end up with a woman's Borsalino, the fifth in the batch).
