Good morning Stefan, a great selection as always, but the Barbisio just edges it. I'm in a rush this morning, our church will be holding a remembrance service. Local roads will be closed so it's the long way round.

The bottle green Susquehana is just enough to show respect, now I must get a move on.
Thank you, Robert. Much appreciated. Your appearance is all the respect anyone could have hoped for; excellence.
Superb series as always. I do like the fuzzy ones, but the Barbisio takes it for me, too.
Last night, out for dinner in an Akubra Stylemaster.

I can’t fathom it, but Etsuko went hatless.

Today , I wore my Barbisio western. It’s not really a western hat, but my long oval head distorts the brim to give it a western vibe. Fortunately, the felt is soft enough that there are no comfort issues.

Etsuko wore her Akubra Leisure Time, but got changed before I managed to get a picture.
Thanks, Gary. Tha Barbisio deserves all the praise it gets and the pics don't even show its superb shark gill bow. Noce series of hat from you today. Sorry to say Etsuko needs a stern reprimand; hatless; surely not!
Today was a sunny afternoon, with the leaves glistening as they changed colors.

In keeping with the theme, I chose one of the new arrivals for 2025 for its very autumnal felt.

Mossant Chinè Tanagra is a blend of various colors. The felt is soft and very capricious in taking stable shapes.

It's difficult to capture the felt's colors in a photo, so I thought shadow and light might help us see it at its best.

Thank you for your compliments on the Vanzina "Mogano" hat.
Congratulations to all of you for the variety and beauty of your hats.
Stefan's furs finishes are a triumph today.
Three fabulous examples of hats!
Grazie , Daniele. You know I love the heather felts and yours is a magnificent example!

Stayed up last night to finish sewing in the Stetson's new sweatband. . Fit a new liner, and sewed the ribbon hatband back n place. Happy to report that I *****ed a couple fingers but did not draw any blood lol

From forlorn abused ebay item with no liner or sweatband to where it is now in one day.... Happy little hat with a new lease on life for a soggy morning

Last night, Jake Blues hit the Halloween scene harder than a Ray-Ban ad in 1980. Witnesses reported a whirlwind of blues riffs, dance floor shakedowns, and questionable police sirens. “He showed up in a suit, shades, and pure swagger”, one guest named William Uanserume said. He even managed to snap a neat group photo with ol' Joliet Jake. Now, the morning after, the scene is quiet. The Knox Custom fedora and sunglasses are still drenched in sweat. Word on the street? Jake was last seen hitchhiking down I-66, humming "Everybody Needs Somebody to Love", mumbling something about putting the band back together. Some say he is looking for his brother, Elwood. Others say he is just chasing the next gig. Either way—the blues rolls on, baby. Keep your eyes peeled. If you hear a soulful wail in the distance or spot a man in a black suit and hat dancing under the streetlights… that is probably not a ghost. That just might be Jake Blues, still working the night shift.
