It's a rare day when three jackets show up at your residence on the same day, and it's 94F (34.4C) outside to boot. No way I'm wearing any of these for a while. Actually the Langlitz in the center was out to them to get a new main zipper and some repairs. The two others are the Apparel Annex (Brown on Left) and a Branded Orchard M/C (Black on Right). The Apparel Annex is off to a professional leather cleaner, going to give that route a try, it had a bit of funk and just needed a good cleaning. The Branded needs nothing and is simply immaculate, with some very nice leather and a great pattern. Overall pleased with the fit of all three, but the Langlitz may be up in the classified soon, if anyone is seeking a "daily driver' that would be good on a bike.

Apparel Annex more detailed shots (before professional cleaning). Appears the leather is nice but does need some TLC.

Just got my hands on a Vanson Chopper for the motorcycle. It was custom-made by the seller to have some air vent zips on the arms and back for warm days. I used it today on a moderately hot day, and the air flow was great.

I've got my eyes on a few Filson jackets (maybe a Packer) for the winter. I've got an Aero Board Racer I never wear that I'm going to try to sell to fund this one.
And, in case anyone cares, I just ordered a Filson Packer that was a great deal on Ebay. I previously had a Cruiser in the red/black lumberjack color, but that wasn't meshing with my style so much anymore.

So, the cleaners didn't want to send this jacket out, all kinds of warnings & cautions about this, and a very high price as well. Even to the point they thought it would shrink. So, it's going through a circuit of multiple washings and a very slow-fan-only ambient drying cycle. (As in - hung up with a fan blowing towards it, it is not in the clothes dryer. -- that would shrink it.) By this evening, I should be able to give it the first thin application of conditioner to the jacket to re-hydrate the hide.

This jacket certainly has a nice heavy quilted lining; it will be a great winter jacket!

I thought shirtless photos were not an option here?!?

Killer jacket. Will be interesting to see how it develops.
lol
the skin tone would be pretty accurate but I have a hair on hide vibe going on

I'll post updates in the natural leather thread

Looks great.

How’re the handwarmer pockets?

I had mine all the way at the seams, between the front and back panels. They’re a pain to use them.
These are very well placed and very usable! That said I will NEVER put my hands in them. I loath handwarmer pockets on a type 3. Generally, they ruin the proportions IMO. And I had fears this jacket would be too long. Stepping back from my phone though, I think this still looks well balanced, even if it is indeed longer. If I were to order it custom I would omit those pockets and keep the length. The jacket is sublime to wear. The softest cxl I’ve ever handled. I’m actually thrilled with it.

Agree about the handwarmer pockets on a type 3 jacket. They look out of place and make the jacket a bit longer. I feel the same in my type 3.

And it’s the reason why I bought the Beams+ type 3, they are at the seams, so they’re kinda of hidden, and didn’t ruin the front design.

However, the placement ruins the usability. I typically put my badge, AirPod case, and a few small items in the handwarmer pockets. And now i cannot use them at all, unless i really reach my arm all the way to the back, and i still could only half of my hand into the pocket. Such a pain!
