I've lso been eyeing these and their Matrix 5.0" boot, they look great. They're new though, there aren't any reviews. Thinking about it still.

When I inquired about ordering mine with a removable Mouton collar, Matsuda sent me a link to this version (see photos) of the Innovator. I also found another the other attached image online. I’m not clear on why it’s not a standard offering, but it is possible to order it with this collar. The version with the collar has the following differences from the standard model: pyramid detail on shoulder epaulets; zippers at front of sleeve, rather than back; and light brown zipper tape. I opted for the pyramids, standard, dark, brown, zipper, tape, and zippers at the back of the wrists.

I will post photos and first impressions once I receive it.

I have a custom sized hugging the curve on the way. If the measurements come in accurate and the quality is as good as has been reported here I'll be getting a Frisco and their 1930's half belt in the fall. Seems like really good value, quality and style from DH.

How did the custom measurement process work?

I’ve found Matsuda at DH responds very quickly to emails and is super helpful. I provided my required measurements and he told me the stock size 44 with length adjustment would be best. He said he’d try to tweak the other stock measurements to hit my targets as they were close enough to stock to not warrant additional charges.

After dealing with other custom makers who can’t handle their inboxes professionally I’m very pleased.
