Northwest Hats warm weather mode. This hat was specifically designed for four seasons: the dimensional brim offers some extra protection from the elements front and back while presenting a more reserved portrait appearance and the liner comes out to reveal yin-yang styled vent holes on either side.

This hat has been around the world (literally) numerous times and is a permanent member of the headwear collection that accompanies me on the semis (a job I am still anxious to get back to...).

Happy Juneteenth to all.

Today's lid is my newest addition, a Black Grizzly " Boss of the Plains" that I commissioned Robert Gault of Wolfbrae Custom Hatters to make for me. I truly enjoyed the experience of working with Robert to get the hat I was after. Every detail, including the charcoal grossgrain ribbon hatband, the stripe of silver in the bow keeper, the fringe on the tail ends of the bow, the burgundy sweatband and last but not least the Japanese silk liner with embroidered liner tip all add up to an outstanding hat that I am proud to have in my collection.
