A coffee co-hort ask about doing a brim curl the other day. This morning I took this little Stetson 3x wool that I had done a mild brim curl on for him to see . Threw in a pic from when I first got it for everyones amusement. I also took a Resistol Quicksilver for him to look over. This one has a full curl done on it. This was a BIG hat and the bigger curl really does a good job of making the hat look less oversized. Its still a big hat but I like it lol ( couple of pre curl pics included here too) Tried a few different "loud" silver bands before I decided to go with the slightly more descrete leather band

Resistol fans dont worry, Im in process of replacing the Stetson button on the hatband with an old Mercury dine

A new vintage Borsalino arrived yesterday in a bag, completely squashed.
No steam at all, only a small brushing and here it is

"Folco" is a color that I love very much in the Borsalino range and the finish as well.
It is not antique, in fact it is quite recent and in excellent condition.
To be precise Borsalino Qualità Extra Superiore, size 6 1/2 so 60 cm. in EU and 7 1/2 in US, sold in Bari in a shop that over time has supplied me with excellent hats that others had bought.

Thanks Mark. That Stetson homburg doesn't get worn much. It continues to spend most of its life in a box, though it certainly deserves much wider publicity.

Thank you Mark. This was my first custom hat and has received a great deal of wear over the years. That it is still so handsome speaks volumes to the quality of Mike's craftsmanship.
