Noisy night with thunder and lightning. Lost sleep but drug myself out of bed at 5am for the gym. When done it was all humid, cloudy, and grey so I went back to bed till 10am ( Guess I WAS tired). Finally woke up to bright sunny blue skies and 70+ degrees. ( evidently last night despite all the noise and light, we had zero rain) Thats a much better way to start a day! Its Gooooood to be retired and have that option!
With the bright sky, I felt like a black hat this morning. Pulled a favorite black Stetson Key Club Dexter off the wall. An Imperial grade/ Ultimate Finish felt. My favorite 2-5/8" brim , 5-1/2"crown. To me this is a beautifully soft smooth hat.
Plopped my caboose out on the patio with a good dark roast coffee and some nice light English tobacco (Peterson Early Morning Pipe in a Peterson Kapet 15)
a bit of Rick's East Texas trivia....The coffee mug is almost 20 yrs old.... its a "Black" Labrador cup from when I first got my previous Lab. After she passed I ended up adopting a somewhat troubled 2 yr old Chocolate Lab (Mr Moose who is now just fine). By that time the Black on the Coffee mug had faded to a perfect Chocolate color... Ill call it serendipity... The mug marches on to match another dog!
