Are you any good at dating Penny's? With the lack of plastic tip liner, I wonder if this is from early on after they changed the logo - very late forties or early fifties maybe? (I actually haven't done any research on dating Marathons and am not even sure when they changed the logo).

This morning my hat of choice is this Grey Heather sold by Delion in Paris, France. Peeking at the tag under the sweatband it appears to have been made by Mossant. Overall the hat is very well made. I especially like how the liner has an iridescent hue to it and changes from a deep blue to a fabulous purple color when the light hits it. I tried to capture this in the pictures best as I could.

From the first time I saw Justified I always admired Raylan's hat. I ordered this way too long ago (Feb 2024) and it finally arrived Christmas Eve. I've learned a ton about hats since I first ordered this, but I still think it is a great looking hat

It is a 6X Stetson that Knudsen Hats shaped to replicate the Justified Hat. Not the best ordering experience, but in the end the hat is OK

Gray and gloomy day here @ Rock Bottom and I am probably not going out today however that doesn't mean I will be hatless.
Imperial Stetson with Ultimate Finish is my lid for puttering around the house today. Originally sold by Henry the Hatter in Detroit, Michigan.

Nice hat !! I've seen other Stetsons with the B designation ( Stratoliner B, etc) and always wondered what the "B" is all about ? Anybody know ?

Ive always been confused by the "SE", "LE" and "B" designations. About the only thing I can say for certain is that they are all newer hats. Id love to know myself. The two "B" hats that Ive had in my hands both said Royal Deluxe on the liner and Royal on the sweatband (Maybe a Royal hat with a bit nicer trimming?). They do appear to be fur felt and not wool.
